Joseph Blanco White - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Joseph Blanco White - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia I saw a monument to him today and wndered who he was- thanks to wiki

Washing machine repair man

A cheerful chap who replaced our rabbit eaten hose without question. We have detained a suspect, and were waiting to see the cost of repair before passing sentence. The siad suspect seems to show no remorse, or indeed any emotion except bewilderment.
Been for a aircut and the nice lady adele was off. Saw a right mizzog who spoke to her mate. Went in the oxfam shop and bought two books. Must take them some as donations. Now wandered to tesco for provisions for tea.

Peter Kinderman.

Been to see Peter today top man. Got a plan, go and see someone at aintree about my advanced directive and go and meet with my psychiatrist Ed Gunter when I am relatively well. Discussing if ever I need an inpatient stay - what would happen to me. Peter tells me he isn't insured to see patients at whelan building so any future meets will need to be at Rahbone - in the gender dysphoria clinic. Afterwards nip to the post office for the charity post. Then pop to town nip into lewis. Its closing down. It reminds me of a department store I went into in romania. Empty shelves and staff without hope. Then its off to the mission cafe for lunch. Seven months sober today.

Get concerned that the website doesnt come back up but Bob has some problems getting the software to facilitate Joomla/vbulletin integration. Had a quiet Sunday and punctuated it with a full sibling turnout at my mums (expressing a collective sense of worry) then a meeting took some snaps before and after - http://www.flickr.com/photos/kenclareblog/sets/72157600026574192/ Mather Avenue has heaps of potential even if it is somewhat rough in parts.
Off to cpr training this am and may stay a few hours to see the weekends patients.

Saturday Morning.

Rise with a stinking headache down analgesia and re-enter land of nod. Wke at more respectable hour and load washer, hang towels out and try to chase the lazy rabbit up. He seems to like his hutch. Its times like this I appreciate spending 400 notes on the rabbit proof fence sh he can wander the range.
Back to bed with the paper and tea and toast. unusually productive morning for me.Plan is straightforward mum to asda and entertain her somewhere for lunch. i did main shop last night at Tesco I score a new case for my nano and casino royale and the wicker man (the nicholas cage version not the edward callan masterpiece).
Mum bit scared about cardiac catheterisation on monday - consenting her must have been a scream.

What a week.

Two days in manc. Two days work e appointments, started a new course, a support group and a meeting a quiz and a curry club. Had a plan to do little today bit didn't realise I had to see the delightful Yvonne Bennett. She is my case manager in the condition mismanagement programme.
So the conference thoughts.
Introduction session from Louise and session from Basil Ammorri only two I attended. Exhibiting was good and I have plenty to do following up leads. The tv show - seemed a good first programme. Certainly caused a reaction on the website and among family and friends. Everyones talking. To top it all desperate dieters getting repeated on discovery home and leisure. 2pm weekdays I am in ep 2 today - I think. Got a new jacket from mand s which the girls say is very like the existing suit. Need some new pants and chinos and some casual shoes.
Wednesday saw the first session of managing the way forward. A conditon mismanagement module chaired by a terminally cheerful but non the less pleasant geezer. Interesting session held in the central library a delightful building erected in 1859. I plan exploring its delights next week after the session. Also on my list for future sessions are the walker and the museums.
Some flak on the forums as to whether we should be involved with the media. My view is get the message out as long as it is done responsibly. My evidence base is that a friend got the op this week on the nhs after a long wait. Her and her daughter saw me in the echo one night.
Website closed for essential upgrade friday thro sunday. Desperate dieters repeated again on discovery health.

Monday Conference.

Bit of a mised bag this. Never sure where it sits in the food chain. Some familiar faces, I went in for the first two sessions. Louise and a geezer from new gross departmental government team. Start off in a poor location but then move in and get a better speck. Took some pictures.
Made some contacts. Met briefly with Louise from Toast need to pick up with her tommorrow.
Didnt stay for reception was goosed - Ment some good guys from Abbot went back to hotel rested and then wandered and ended up in a smaller and cheaper than last nights restaurant. They drank but beats dining alone.

Sunday

Up for mothersday get stuff ready for conference. Everton beat Arsenal and off to land of Manc for conference. Weather completely shite zero degrees hail lightning. Speed down to 40mph at times. Got lost twice in manchester found conference centre dropped stuff on then found NCP and IBIS. Room basic but ok. Off for a wander round oxford street then find china town. Couple of places open opt for New Hong kong which seems ok if pricey back home and chill listen to music and read. Review stuff for tomorrow. Nervous for many reasons I wont post here.

Burnin rubber

250 quids worth. ATS doing well ourt of me. Home via the pharmacy stock up on sleepers and painkilllers. Out to Kimos with ally for tea. Sat in borders now. Just had a triple americano. So much for caffeine free.

Tuesday night

Good meeting some wise words from a good mate. Home major problem - no sleepers tied with the lack of analgesia this freaks me right out. Take two anxiolytics and then an olazipine. Feel crap, try to read but feel restless. Eventually drop off. Wake round 12 with a massive hangover and sleep disturbed by drugs. Feel crap racing brain and all sorts of worries.
Need to prioritise sort pharmacy, and ring work. Off for tyres ally finishes early jeans away in lancashire at an ot pow wow. Me sat in ATS. Men working on my car why does oil intimidate me so. Talk of trackng and alignment seems costly.

Gonna buy me work shirts.

Tesco big boy size.

Yard dog

Swept the yard bathed and was ready to head for old swan jobbie when I got a call. David asked me to go back to 3.30. So here I am blogging in tesco. Couldn't have been worse timing as far as my chicken cooking is concerned. Hey ho. Gonna buy amateur pornographer (well photographer). Magazine I bought yesterday had an article on 'fine art' or erotica. Sky looks like rain. Bummer got significant waswhing out.

Wearing Bryan Ferrys Jacket

Sod M&S and its faded blue harbour productsI am upgrading to be become a collezione customer. To be I already have a winter coat by them. I think I wll turn into a smarter new model for the spring. So I have bought into a jacket advertised by the above slimy crooner. This morning however I am rugged and active so still unashed and macho it out down at the recycling centre. Its a butch place all workman boots hard hats and hi visibility vests. 2 men risk life and limb sorting the shite that people have filed wrong.

My mood is like a rollercoaster - feeling odd, tring to be objective

possible causes

  1. separation anxiety as therapeutic relationship with peter ends
  2. increased headache
  3. irritation/frustration with some charity matters.

plan

  1. talk to peter
  2. sort meds with frank
  3. accept me today for what I am - apply serenity prayer.

Been to tyre shop and one is illegal I have been driving on the canvas (dont sound good). have to buy two and have me wheels aligned (going to ask for eyes and teeth as same package).

Spoke to three journos yesterday

two freelancers interestingly weightwatchers and lighter life

and a tv production company

Appeared briefly on GMTV (didnt see my face just me shirt). The terribly titled half ton hospital is on next tuesday at 9pm.

Sunday

Bad headaches all day. Not responding to analgesia. Dissapear back to bed. Feel sick. Go to meeting. Feel panicky and uncomfortable. Don't want to stay, but stay till the end. Come home can't concentrate.

Saturday night

Been a crazy week. Fitted work into thursday friday. Tried to give time over for daily reflection and some family time. Ally did exceptionally well in her A/S level modular results and I am deeply proud. Saturday night we all watched the History boys together. Did some work in the garden saturday am and spent all of the afternoon asleep on the couch. Had a terrible headache. Feel like Wlsinfo hasw more direction than ever and Bob and I have agreed on a Joomla implementation as our content management system. Just need to get some content sorted next. Its all been there for ages just need to draw that plan up. Got to agree some core aims for the display at Manchester. Need to get another prescription sorted for next week so I am up to date. Missed a bloody appointment at xray will need to get that sorted.

Tuesday, March 06, 2007

Later on Tuesday

The rabbit is getting lazy. The little git doesn't realise we spent 400 notes getting the fence repaired so he could frolic in the spring air. He prefers to sit doing sphinx impersonations and upending his food bowl. I gave a little chase to encourage him but he headed for his hutch as soon as my back was turned. Meanwhile the washing machine door comes off in my hand. The pin is sheared. Less than happy. I have gone to tesco for a bite to eat and shop, then on top the swan for some savings advice. A lil bit of dosh to start ally off at uni. She points out we should have started when she was a baby but hey ho. Better late than never.

Tuesday off work

Decide to do some chilling. Few things need sorting got a beating the blues appointment as part of my Condition Mismanagement Programme it a  computerised CBT thing and I am looked after by Matt and Dave. Problem is I have lost the fecking paperwork.

Somewhat alarmed that Mick has started reading the blog - thought I better try and post something meaningful.

Dissapointed to hear that Phil has had his Incapacity Benefit withdrawn - gits. Tuesday no work at Abbey Sefton - doing some website related stuff and have some media types to talk to. Ann a very nice freelancer who is doing a piece for Weight watchers Magazine about surgery and the usual people looking for a childhood obesity "victim" who is telegenic.

Conference season starts this month Manchester, Liverpool - June, and London October . Add to that an invitation speak at the MSc at Chester and some Midlands Gastro gig and you have the lot. (so far).

But for today rethinking the Content management side of WLSinfo is the challenge. (As well as washing and other mundane house hold chores).

A busy week

Isle of man. Then two days permitted work then a day preparing for the meeting today. A few incidents that rattled me a bit. Difficult to blog about them but caused considerable self doubt and disturbed dreams.
6 months sobriety came and went. Rewarded myself with the purchase of some software. Throw in nannas birthday and you have a busy week.
